House Updates & Raspberry Decor

Good morning friends!  Today I wanted to share some updates around here.  I mentioned yesterday about my design ADD...I find myself moving things around, trying to figure out the direction this house is going in the decorating department.  I finally decided to add some raspberry color to the living room to break up all the grays and blues, and I am loving how it is coming along.  You can see in this picture, I moved the succulents to the kitchen, and also this lamp.  The base was a brown metal before when it was in our living room. So, I spray painted the base gold to add on this shelf.  This spot in our kitchen is quickly becoming one of my favorite areas of the house.  

I bought this silver pillar from a thrift store last week for only $1.92!  I love it in this spot.

A couple weeks ago I painted this mirror white.  It was black before, and I've had it since college, so I was happy to be able to find a spot for it in our home.  I have white curtains that need to be hung, and am looking for some sconces to possibly be hung on either side of the mirror.

I've been wanting to get these moss covered balls from Crate and Barrel for a while now, and I finally stopped by last week and picked them up.  I thought they would add some color to all the white going on!  The little lanterns are from Ikea.  They were only $3, and hold a little tea light candle inside.  I'm trying to keep it simple because of the busy stenciled pattern on the wall.  But so far, I like how it is coming together.  Our next purchase for this space will be new chairs...can't wait!

I decided to bring the orchid in here to give the space some color.  I think it looks so pretty when I walk in the door :)

I found this geometric raspberry pillow at Stein Mart for $12!  Ever since I bought these flowers a few weeks ago, I loved how this color looked in our room, and I feel like the raspberry will tie everything together nicely.  And, for $12...I couldn't pass it up!
